     Love it or hate it skyrim is the quintencess of medieval rpgs. It has become the game that every person knows whether they played it or not, and that's a good thing-skyrim is a role playing game where you play as Dovahkiin which means "dragonborn" your overall objective in the game is to slay dragons with albeit a sword or your voice yes, you heard right you can kill dragons with your voice.(dosent that sound awesome?)If you get bored of slaying dragons you can do quests that varies from finding to killing and giving, so there is much to do in this open world game.

     Skyrim has opened doors for other publishers to follow in the stead and put their own take on the open world rpg game, We have devised a list of the games very similar to skyrim's likeness.Our first runner is called "Fallout" a game that takes place in the far future,plus this game was made by the same publisher as Skyrim Bethesda. Fallout is a open world game like skyrim but with lazers and nuke launchers, and don't forget robots lots and lots of robots. Another game on our list is called "Dragon's Dogma: The Dark Asine" It's premise is similar to Skyrim with its protagonist being a dragonborn but the antagonist shows up and kills you in the first cutscene of the game.The gameplay is very different from skyrim with it having similar style as Dark Souls.Lastly, we have "Witcher 3 the wild hunt" this game primarily has you to freely choose your adventure whether it be main quests and or the main story, the choice is up to you.There's lots of mythical creatures to hunt and or befriend in this game of open exploration.These games are just the tip of the iceberg when compared to the vast amount of titles that take inspiration of skyrim.
